  • Uniform is compulsory – whenever a student comes to school for any purpose at any time.
  • Wear the School Identity Card always inside the campus.
  • Use the Belt and tuck in shirts.
  • Do not come without Shoes. To buy shoes – brand and specific models are displayed in the school notice board. Dealers and shops addresses are also given.
  • Use School banian (T-Shirt) on all Wednesdays with White Pants and White Shoes (except on Examination Days)
  • Never use Low Hip Pants, Pencil Fit and Narrow Pants.
  • Avoid shirts that are short. Use lengthy shirts (enough height so as to tuck in)
  • Uniform materials, badges and belts are available in the school. Do not buy outside.
  • Students should come to school clean and tidy
  • Students should have modest hair cutting. Hair should be well trimmed and combed
  • Wearing the following things are strictly prohibited
    a) Ear rings b) Bracelets (any type) c) Wrist band d) Finger rings) Chain around the neck etc. Violating these things will invite severe action.
  • Wear uniform even on birthdays if it falls during examination day.
  • No student is allowed to go out during lunch break.

2. Discipline
Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, negligence of homework, disobedience and disrespect towards members of the staff, or bad moral influence justify dismissal. Pupils are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both in and outside the school.

3. Protection of School Property
It is forbidden to write or scribble on the walls, desks, etc., throw paper or ink about the classroom or in any way damage the school property. Damage done must be paid for at the discretion of the Principal.

4. Pupil’s Responsibility
Pupils are themselves responsible for their own books, fountain pens, tiffin carriers or any other article that they may bring to school. The school is not responsible for any cycles that pupils park in the school campus.

No student is allowed to bring two wheelers to school.
No Jewellery must be worn to the school.
No valuable article should be brought to school.

5. Participation in Games, Functions, and Social activities
Every pupil must take part in school games and other activities unless declared physically unfit or exempted by the Principal. Attendance at official school functions like the Parents Day, Sports Day, Independence Day etc. is compulsory. Absentees may be fined or penalized.

6. During School Hours
Pupils are not allowed to meet parents or to leave the school premises during school hours without the permission of the Principal.

7. Rule of Language
The medium of Instruction is English, which alone should be used at all times in the school premises.

8. Letters
Letters received in the school addressed to the dayscholars will not be delivered

9. Conduct outside the School
Any reported or observed objectionable conduct outside the school, on the part of students, will make them liable to disciplinary action.

10. Strikes
The students are strictly forbidden to take part in strikes or in other activities likely to result in violence or communal disturbance. Those who take part in such activities will be dismissed.

11. Concerning defaulters
The school accepts no responsibility if the pupil is obliged to return home during class hours, for not wearing the school uniform, for not bringing books to class, for not producing the signature of parents on remarks written by teachers on the absence record in the calendar, for reason of indiscipline and for repeated late coming.

12. Accidents
The school cannot be held responsible for accidents, small or serious, to pupils during the school hours or during excursions.

13. Change of Address
When there is change of address, the students are to inform the School Office about the new address.

14. Electronic Gadgets
No electronic devices (Cell Phone, I – pad, CD, Pen drive, Laptop, Palmtop, Memory Card, SIM card. Headphone, etch) are allowed into the school campus. Violation of these things will invite severe action.[/elitetoggle][/eliteaccordion][eliteaccordion][elitetoggle title=”B. Punctuality and Attendance”]

  • Be punctual to school.
  • If you are late, get the signature in the school diary.
  • For repeated defaults, parents will be called for.
  • No student may absent himself without obtaining prior permission.
  • No absentee should enter the class without written permission from the Principal.

A student absenting himself from school for 5 days in succession without permission will be marked “LEFT”. He will not be readmitted, as a matter of course. If he is to be readmitted, he will have to pay a fresh admission fee of Rs. 500/-

A student absenting himself from Parents’ Day Celebration, Annual Sports Day after special holidays like Christmas, Deepavali, Michaelmas, Pongal etc., is liable to lose his place. If he is re-admitted, he will have to pay a fresh admission fee of Rs. 500/- (with a fine or Rs. 25/- for each day of absence)[/elitetoggle][/eliteaccordion][eliteaccordion][elitetoggle title=”C. Admissions and Withdrawals”]Students are admitted only in 6th and 11th Std, at the beginning of the scholastic year.
A week’s notice in writing is required for the removal of a pupil. The father of the boy concerned should make the requisition. If the father is no more, the mother’s signature is necessary. The Transfer Certificate (T.C) or any other certificate or testimonial will be given free of charge if taken immediately when leaving. Otherwise a search fee of Rs. 10/- will be charged for every year and Rs. 10/- will be levied for any extract from the school record.[/elitetoggle][/eliteaccordion][eliteaccordion][elitetoggle title=”D. Studies”]Concerning Homework
a) To provide exercise, to increase progress and to acquire skill.
b) To test and ascertain progress and skill acquired.
All work of the first type is generally class works and need not be corrected in detail : but all work of the second type is corrected (ie. Home work proper)

Composition of Standard VII and upwards are corrected according to the following correction symbols

S : Spelling errors
A : Absence or required idea
E : Bad English
G : Bad Grammar
? : Truth of statement questioned. Exaggeration etc.,
P : Wrong Punctuation
O: Omit
Common errors are discussed with the class[/elitetoggle][/eliteaccordion][eliteaccordion][elitetoggle title=”E. Examinations”]1. Pupils absent from examination without grave reasons will be considered as having failed. Pupils absent from any examination for any reason whatsoever will not be re-examined. The marks obtained in the Mid Term Tests, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual Examinations will be considered for promotion No pupil who fails for two years in succession will be kept in the school.

Unit Tests
After a month of teaching, there will be unit tests in the units taught in each subject.

Mid Term Tests
Mid Term Tests will be conducted in the months of July, November and in February and the results will be made known.

Terminal Examinations
Progress Reports showing the application of the pupils and their results will be given to the parents after every school examination on the Open Day.
Parents or guardians are requested to examine the Progress Report carefully and see that their sons or wards make a special effort to study those subjects in which they are weak. They should attend the Open Day held after every Terminal Examination.

2. Malpractice
A student caught copying or indulging in any other malpractice, will not be allowed to take a subsequent examination until the Principal grants him written permission to take the other examinations. Such a student may be dismissed from the school.

3. Arrears of Fees
Fees can be paid annually. Fees, once paid, will not be refunded. Fees will be collected by the Catholic Syrian Bank, Tirupattur. If fees are not paid on the day specified a fine of Rs. 25 per day will be charged.

Pupils who have not paid the fees will not be permitted to sit for the examinations. Their school diaries must be in order to be given hall tickets for the examinations. No certificates of any kind will be issued to the students who are in arrears of fees.

4. Promotion
All matters regarding the promotion of the students are left to the discretion of the Principal whose decision will be final.

5. Open Day
The Parents are expected to meet the class teacher on the class Open Day when progress report will be handed over. Parents have to sign in the class assessment register.

6. Communication with parents
SMS is introduced to communicate the parents regarding
i) Homework ii) Exam details iii) Default iv) Result v) Progress Report other important information[/elitetoggle][/eliteaccordion][eliteaccordion][elitetoggle title=”F. Tuitions”]Students are strictly prohibited from going to the teacher’s house under the pretext of clearing doubts or taking coaching from the teacher’s relatives.

Parents are requested not to send their children to teacher’s hours or any other place (Centres) where he or she takes tuition. No exception will be granted in this regard.[/elitetoggle][/eliteaccordion]
